The W.O.E. Team

Jared Munson is a graduate from Eastern Washington University, graduating with a degree in Creative Writing. An avid television and movie viewer, Jared plans to bring his previous journalism experience to bring you the latest in the television and movie world. When he isn’t working, he also tours the country as a professional comedian, voted Funniest Comedian in the Inland Northwest in 2017, placing 2nd in 2018.

You can follow his Twitter here, and his official website here.

Kyal Bender currently works for Valley Buick GMC in Auburn, WA. While he loves being a movie critic, he has always enjoyed helping people in any type of customer service position. Kyal watches a diverse mix of drama, action, and comedy and plans to contribute many reviews on movies. Not only will he review the most recent films, but also the films of another time…the gilded age of film where everything was in black & white (he still wishes a lot of films still were).

Greetings all! My name is David and I’m graduate of Eastern Washington University’s Creative Writing program. I’m an avid fan of Superman, the Seattle Seahawks, and just about anything to do with hockey, baseball, movies, video games, and television.  I tend to be passionate about what I like, especially television shows that many people forget about or never heard of before.  I like to express my enthusiasm for something by pointing out all the great things about it in hopes that others will feel the same way as I do. I tend to favor retro reviews, but I won’t shy away from giving my opinion on current shows, movies, and Hollywood news. I also write about sports, specifically the Spokane Empire Indoor Football League team. You can follow me on twitter at @Shockfanatic09

Hey there, everybody. My name is Sheldon Spanjer. I also attended Eastern Washington University where I got a Technical Communication degree. I’m a bit of a film dork, and a metal head. I’ll save you all from the metal reviews, but I hope to have some movie reviews and an op-ed piece here and there. For more mini-reviews and additional moronic musings, you can follow me on Twitter: @sheldonspanjer

‘ello fellow readers! My name is Paul Sell. I’m a graduate of Eastern Washington University, with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, combining Film and Journalism and spent some time working for The Easterner as a writer/reporter. I am extremely passionate about all sorts of film, television and video games and enjoy writing about them, especially Godzilla and other giant monster films. I feel that film is a language that speaks to everyone and deserves to be admired as a truly great art form. Its just up to us to decide which movies deserve to be admired the most. That is what I hope my writing accomplishes.

Greetings! My name is Josh Friesen. I’m a journalism major at Eastern Washington University, where I work for the campus newspaper, The Easterner. I love sports. I love good movies. I love good music. I love to write. Hopefully, I’ll be able to impart some of my wisdom on to you lads.

Hello, hello. I’m Chris and I’m a graduate of Eastern Washington University’s creative writing program. I have a slightly managed addiction to comic books, video games, and sci-fi of most kinds. I’ll try my best to not talk your ears off about all of it. Sharing ideas and opinions on creative mediums is something I love to do, so feel free to comment. When I’m not writing here, I can be found at my blog Infinity Geek or on Twitter at @dorseus.

What’s up everybody! My name is Brad and I’m a graduate of Eastern Washington University, where I majored in Journalism and Sociology. I currently work as an Instructional Assistant for Spokane School District 81, and love every minute of it. I’m a huge sports fan, most notably the New York Giants, Seattle Seahawks, and Duke Blue Devils. Movies have been a huge part of my life ever since I can remember, and what I hope readers take away from my writing is the love I have for film, and the people who make it happen. I hope you learn something as well, about a movie or an actor you may not have known. I’m going to touch on older movies I love, that you may have forgotten or never heard of, and some new releases. I hope you enjoy what I have to offer! Your feedback would be appreciated!
