It is a sad day for fans of most of Fox’s comedy lineup. The network has handed pink slips to Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Last Man on Earth, and The Mick. This almost cleans house of all Fox network live action comedies, with New Girl ending this year and not too promising outlooks for frosh comedies Ghosted and LA to Vegas.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine is the oldest of the bunch, wrapping up its fifth season. The series is a rare success, being a cop comedy procedural, starring Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher.
Last Man on Earth just wrapped up its fourth season. The post-apocalyptic comedy starred Will Forte, January Jones, and Mary Steenburgen.
The Mick was a critical hit over its two seasons on Fox. The Kaitlin Olson starrer pushed boundaries for network comedies and finished its season on a cliffhanger.
