If you’re a fan of strong women on television, then there is a double dose of good news for you tonight. First, NBC has given its frosh drama Good Girls a renewal for a second season. The 10-episode first season ended last month on a cliffhanger.
Good Girls follows three Detroit women who are having difficulties making ends meet. They decide to rob a supermarket that creates further difficulties for the trio. The series stars Christina Hendricks, Mae Whitman, and Retta.
The CW has renewed its veteran midseason series The 100 for a sixth season. The fifth season of the sci-fi drama had a later than usual start this year, debuting in late April.
The current season of The 100 started with a time jump years after another nuclear event went off leaving the planet uninhabitable again. However, the survivors have found a part of land that has been undiscovered, with those remaining out to claim it.
The 100 stars Eliza Taylor, Paige Turco, Marie Avgeropoulos, Christopher Larkin, and Henry Ian Cusick.
