You will be seeing a lot more Kaitlin Olson in 2017 and 2018. Fox announced today that the network is renewing frosh comedy series The Mick for a second season. The series has been a critical hit for the Fox, debuting on New Year’s Day.
While The Mick isn’t a breakout ratings hit, the series has been averaging a 1.1 in the 18-49 demographic in the episodes since its debut. While that number is low compared to most sitcoms airing on CBS and ABC, Fox’s other comedies New Girl and Brooklyn Nine-Nine are right around there – or even slightly lower.
Olson also stars in FXX’s comedy It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which has been renewed for a 13th and 14th seasons, which will carry the series through at least 2019.
