2016 will probably go down as one of those years with a giant asterisk next to it. While the year was great for film and television (see: La La Land, Arrival, and The Crown), we lost way too many celebrities this year (Carrie Fisher, George Michael, David Bowie, and Prince, among others).
However, we here at World of Entertainment have something to celebrate.
2015 was a down year for the site in viewership after our biggest year in 2014. This year will end up being our second biggest year in our nearly seven years of existence. We’ve surpassed 45,000 unique views for the year; and while that might be small compared to sites like TVGuide.com or Deadline.com, we are a site with limited to no advertising.
So on behalf of Paul, David, @sheldonspanjer, Kyal, and myself, thank you.
We took a little bit of time off this month to reflect on the year and spend time with our loved ones among the holiday season. We will be back in full force this last week of 2016, heading into the New Year.
