In a move that will come surprising to some, Hulu announced on Monday that it will be stopping its free streaming service effective immediately. The company announced that they have been working on “building a subscription service that provides the deepest, most personalized content experience possible to our viewers”, and it appears they have hit that threshold.
From now on if you want to view programs on Hulu, their subscription rates are $7.99/month for ad-supported streaming, or $11.99/month without advertisements.
However, Hulu also announced they are working with Yahoo’s new ad-supported streaming service, Yahoo View, that will allow users to watch the five most recent episodes of shows NBC, Fox and ABC eight days after they air.
How do you feel about Hulu dropping their free streaming service? Will you pay to continue to watch Hulu? Sound off below!

Wow, I’m surprised! I’m also glad I already pay for their service or I’d be upset
