DC really likes to keep it in the family. The producers of the CW drama Supergirl have announced that former Wonder Woman Lynda Carter has been set to play the President in the upcoming second season of the series. She will recur starting with the third episode of the season. Carter joins former Lois & Clark star Dean Cain and former Supergirl movie star Helen Slater in roles in the CW series.
Carter rose to fame in the 70s playing Wonder Woman for three seasons from 1975-79. She has been the only one of two live-action Wonder Woman actresses until Gal Gadot appeared as the character in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Supergirl has been beefing up their guest roles as they announced Tyler Hoechlin joining on as the Man of Steel last week. The series returns this fall on its new home the CW, Mondays at 8PM.
