NCIS might have found a way to get the young female viewers to their show. CBS has announced that former That 70’s Show and From Dusk till Dawn star Wilmer Valderrama has been tapped as a series regular for the 14th season.
In a release to the press, it states Valderrama will play a “once grounded NCIS field agent who accepted a deep cover assignment years ago and never resurfaced. Many agents don’t know he’s still on the job or that he’s even alive. Now, he’s back and his dedication to job and country has left him an unpredictable, charismatic loose cannon.”
With Michael Weatherly’s departure after 13 seasons, and mixed reaction to new additions Duane Henry and Sarah Clarke, it makes sense that the network might be looking in a different direction.
In the same release, executive producer and showrunner Gary Glasberg stated that Valderrama will get to “flex his dramatic, physical and comedic talents. Fans are going to see him like they’ve never seen him before. This is going to be fun. We’re thrilled he’s coming aboard.”
What do you think of Valderrama’s casting? Will you tune in on NCIS’s 14th season with his addition? Sound off!
