Fox has canceled their entire new comedy slate, with The Grinder, Grandfathered, Bordertown and Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life got the pink slips today.
While Bordertown and Cooper Barrett have been outcast to lower trafficked nights, critics praised both The Grinder and Grandfathered, with rumors that one of the two would make it a second season. The Grinder starred Rob Lowe and Fred Savage, while Grandfathered starred John Stamos and Josh Peck.
It’s unfortunate that none of the comedies were renewed as Fox has been falling behind the other networks in the past few years, with shows like American Idol, Bones, and Sleepy Hollow faltering in the ratings as well.
