Abe Vigoda passes away at 94


Legendary screen actor Abe Vigoda passed away today at the age of 94. Since 1982, there have been erroneous reports of Vigoda’s passing, with Vigoda himself poking fun of it over the course of the 2000s. Vigoda was placed into hospice care on the 22nd, and passed away in his sleep earlier today.

Vigoda played iconic roles like Sal Tessio in The Godfather and as Detective Sgt. Phil Fish in the sitcom Barney Miller. His credits include over 80 film and TV appearances and continued appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien.
