Over the weekend, Vin Diesel revealed details regarding the eighth installment of the Fast & Furious franchise.
The actor revealed posted a teaser poster of the sequel, confirming that the title will be Fast 8 and that it will take place in New York City. The poster’s teaser tagline, New Roads Ahead, hints at a new direction for the film franchise. The tagline could also refer to the fact this is the first Fast & Furious film outside of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift to not star the late Paul Walker.
It’s unknown as to how much of the film will be set in New York, especially when Variety earlier in January that the filmmakers were scouting scenes in Cuba.
Fast 8 opens on April 17, 2017.
