Red Reddington lives another day. It was announced today by The Blacklist creator Jon Bokenkamp that the series has been renewed for a fourth season on NBC.
“We knew about that a while ago, it’s one of those things that’s hard to keep quiet. But yes, we’re renewed through the fourth season,” Bokenkamp said during today’s episode of podcast The Blacklist: Exposed. “Hopefully we don’t tank that out, we got a lot of story to tell.”
The series, starring James Spader as Red Reddington and Megan Boone as Elizabeth Keene, has been doing alright on Thursdays at 9 – averaging around a 1.5 in the 18-49, but still not pulling in the ratings it did behind The Voice on Mondays (ranging from 2.5-3.0).
Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and freshman drama Blindspot have all been renewed for another season.
