During Tuesday night’s series premiere of Agent Carter, Marvel fans were treated to a full length teaser trailer for Ant-Man, the final entry in Marvel’s Phase Two films.
Last week, Marvel teased fans with an “ant-sized” trailer that was difficult to see without a microscope. Marvel released a human-sized teaser a day later, but it was just a tease for fans to watch the real trailer during the pilot episode of Agent Carter.
Directed by Peyton Reed (Bring it On, The Break-Up), Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, a petty criminal who acquires an invented substance that allows him to shrink in scale but increase in strength. The film also stars Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dymne, Corey Stoll as Darren Cross/Yellowjacket, and Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Prym, the original Ant-Man.
Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
Ant-Man opens July 17, 2015.
