First image of Henry Cavill’s Clark Kent on set of “Batman v Superman”

Henry Cavill Clark Kent

Is this the first on-set image of Henry Cavill’s Clark Kent?

Moviegoers that went and saw  Man of Steel last summer were teased with the first visual appearance of Henry Cavill’s Clark Kent. Today, a photograph was posted on the Twitter account of The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund that gives fans another look at what Clark Kent will look like for the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie.

For those that don’t know, the RMCTF is an organization that helps raise money for injured marines and their families. They tweeted a photo featuring Cavill holding up the official T-Shirt for the Royal Marines Challenge.

There hasn’t been an official confirmation from Warner Bros or any sources on set that Cavill is in costume for the film. The Superman Homepage, the #1 site for Superman News, made a point to say that many sites are claiming this is the first image of Clark Kent, but remained skeptic that this is the real deal.

While it’s fair to remain skeptic, the directors chair with the name “Clark” and the long brown coat, dress slacks, dark blue dress shirt and gray tie look like something Clark Kent would wear. Looking at his shoulders, it appears the costume crew draped several ties over his shoulders to come up with a good look.

All I can say to the Superman Homepage is this: if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck….

If this image is Henry in costume (and it looks like it is), Clark appears to have updated his look in the time between Man of Steel and Dawn of Justice, ditching the flannel shirt and dark jeans for a more professional “reporter look.” He doesn’t have the iconic glasses, but come on — do you really expect Henry to wear them when they’re not filming?

We already know Henry can pull off Superman but do you think he’ll be able to pull off Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter? Post your thoughts in the comment section below.
