Fox Reveals Three More “Gotham” Images

Last week, Fox revealed two promotional images for the Batman origin series Gotham, featuring a teenage Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) and Detective Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue).

This week, Fox revealed three more promotional images, this time featuring the likes of Alfred Pennyworth, (Sean Pertwee), Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie).

Sean Pertwee’s characterization of Alfred is described as “a tough-as-nails ex-marine from East London who has loyally served the Waynes. Now, in the wake of their tragic deaths, he’s fiercely protective of the young Bruce Wayne.”

Robin Taylor Lord’s younger portrayal of Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin is nothing like the previous live action version that Danny DeVito played in Batman Returns. This version of Cobblepot “has the brains of a chess grandmaster and the morals of a jackal. A low-level psychopath for gangster Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith), he hides his sadistic lust for power behind an exquisitely polite demeanor.”

Last, but not least, is Ben McKenzie’s version of Jim Gordon. Fox did not provide character details with the release of the photo, but it has been previously stated that this Gordon is “a young, rookie Detective in Gotham City’s Homicide Squad.”

McKenzie’s Gordon lacks both the signature mustache and thick black glasses. He also looks like he just walked off the set Southland and onto the set of Gotham for this photo shoot.
