Syfy Channel announced today that Being Human has been cancelled, midway through it’s fourth season. The network released the following statement in regards to the show’s cancellation:
“Showrunner Anna Fricke and the talented producers, writers, cast and crew have done an amazing job bringing this show to life over the past four seasons and we sincerely thank them and the series’ production company Muse Entertainment for their hard work. They’ve saved the best for last with the final six episodes that revisit the story’s beginning, leading to a not-to-be-missed send-off for Aidan, Sally, Josh and Nora.”
Being Human is the North American adaption of the popular United Kingdom series of the same name, revolving around a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost who are roommates. The initial cast consisted of Sam Witwer, Meaghan Rath, and Sam Huntington before adding Kristen Hager in Season 2.
Sam Witwer posted the following tweet after news of the cancellation broke:
This entire season was, from inception, designed to be the last one. All stories are tied up. This was how we wanted to go 🙂 #BeingHuman
The remaining six episodes air beginning March 3rd, leading up to the series finale on April 7th.
