After The Simpsons star Dan Castellaneta appeared recently on an episode of Family Guy, it appears like the former series’ creator will return the favor. Seth MacFarlane is set to guest on an episode of The Simpsons early next fall.
After years of critics and fans claiming that Family Guy is a ripoff of The Simpsons, it has been reported that neither show has had any discord with each other and these guest stints help portray that. MacFarlane will play a man interested in pursuing Marge (Julie Kavner) after they meet online.
With his hit film Ted breaking box office records and his upcoming Oscar hosting gig, it appears that MacFarlane is just hitting his peak. He is also the creator of the FOX animated shows American Dad and the Family Guy spinoff The Cleveland Show.
