CW cancels “Secret Circle”, “Ringer,” renews “Nikita” and others

The CW Network has made the following announcements:

  • Gossip Girl will be back for a short (11-13) episode final season.
  • Nikita is being renewed for a 3rd season (and likely fourth to hit syndication)
  • Hart of Dixie is being renewed for a second season
  • Frosh series The Secret Circle and Ringer have been canceled

One new series includes The Carrie Diaries – the prequel series to Sex and the City. This could be paired well with Hart of Dixie since Gossip Girl is ending.

Shows like The Vampire Diaries, 90210 and Supernatural have always been renewed.
