It seems as though a lot of shows are going to be receiving early renewals this year. Today FOX announced that they are renewing their rookie comedy Raising Hope for a second season. The comedy has been a hit among critics and fans, and remained the only new show that debuted in fall to still be alive. Lone Star and Running Wilde both failed to attract audiences, but luckily FOX is now 1/3.
Raising Hope is averaging a little over 6.3 million viewers per episode. While this nowhere near a hit, FOX hopes that with better promotion, the series will end up like ABC’s The Middle. Last year, The Middle averaged around 6.8 million viewers, and after a scheduling change for the fall, the show is now hitting around 8.8 million viewers in its second season. Only time will tell if the same will be said for Raising Hope.
Are you glad you get another season of this quirky comedy? Sound off!
