While Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis each had long and successful runs, the same can’t be said for the newest series in the franchise, Stargate Universe. SyFy has canceled the series, but plans to air the 10 episodes from the second half of the second season next year.

Ratings for Stargate Universe have been low, and the series has not been met with the same critical acclaim as the previous two series have over the course of their runs.
