It has been reported that the CW drama Life Unexpected will not be picked up for a back 9, leaving serious doubts that the series will reach a third season. The show is the least watched on the network, however the show is a critically acclaimed hit, drawing positive comparisons to Gilmore Girls, a show that was a staple on the WB for years.

Life Unexpected will finish its second season of 13 episodes in early 2011.
