Saturday Night Live will welcome new and old during its 36th season premiere on September 26th. Amy Poehler, who starred on the show for eight seasons will host the premiere while Katy Perry will do the singing duties.
The series is also adding four featured players that include Taran Killam, who was a featured member of former rival show MADtv back in that show’s seventh season. Also being added are Vanessa Bayer, Paul Brittain, and Jay Pharoah. This is the biggest amount of additions in one season since Poehler and Seth Myers were part of the new blood back in 2001.
Finally, take a look for Emmy winner Bryan Cranston to host sometime in October.
