WARNING: Trailer features content unsuitable for those under 17
Around the time that Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez released Grindhouse, they held a contest to see who could make a faux trailer for a grindhouse-type movie. The lucky winners Jason Eisener, John Davies, and Rob Cotterill who gave us the immediate classic Hobo With a Shotgun. Somewhere along the way, Eisener got some money to make a full-length feature film out of the trailer, much like what happened with Rodriguez and Machete and what will happen with Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving.
I wish this trailer was going to appear in front of Machete, released today, because it would receive a great amount of positive reactions. This is not the case though. Fortunately, we have the trailer for you here today. And being a big fan of the Grindhouse movie (and my excitement for Machete), Hobo with a Shotgun is something I need to see in the very near future.
The film stars Rutger Hauer (The Hitcher, Blade Runner), and is directed by Eisener.
