‘Toy Story 3’ Crosses the $1 Billion Mark

2010_toy_story_3_001 Only two weeks after becoming the highest grossing animated film of all time, Toy Story 3 has now crossed the $1 billion mark in the worldwide box office.

"It’s been an incredible year as we saw the Pixar team bring Buzz and Woody back to the big screen and watched Tim Burton’s vision for ‘Alice in Wonderland’ take the world by storm," said Disney Chairman Rich Ross. "These box office triumphs prove that creative storytelling brought to life by imaginative, inspired and talented professionals is something audiences respond to the world over."

So far, the only other films to do this are Avatar, Titanic, The Dark Knight, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, and Alice in Wonderland.
