“Vampires Suck” debuts strong behind “The Expendables”

Vampires Suck opened on Wednesday at #1, but dropped to #2 by Friday, right behind The Expendables. Other new films Lottery Ticket, Piranha 3D, The Switch, and Nanny McPhee Returns all debuted with varying results. The top ten films for Friday are as follow (new films in bold):

  1. The Expendables – $4.950 million
  2. Vampires Suck – $4.425 million
  3. Lottery Ticket – $3.860 million
  4. Eat Pray Love – $3.750 million
  5. Piranha 3D – $3.600 million
  6. The Other Guys – $3.000 million
  7. The Switch – $2.700 million
  8. Nanny McPhee Returns – $2.690 million
  9. Inception – $2.155 million
  10. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World – $1.625 million
