Friday saw a big battle between Leonardo DiCaprio and Angelina Jolie as Inception went head to head with the new action movie, Salt. So far it seems as though Inception will maintain its #1 lead, although not by much. Friday estimates show that Salt brought in $12.7 million, just a couple hundred thousand short of Inception’s $13.23 million.

No one else comes close in this race, as the #3 spot held by Despicable Me only brought in $7.325 million, and new children’s flick Ramona and Beezus came in with only $3 million. Rounding out the top five is The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, which continues to be a huge disappointment, bringing in only $2.95 million with a total of $35.9 million over ten days.
