Weekend Preview: Robin Hood, Letters to Juliet, Just Wright

Robin Hood: Ridley Scott (American Gangster, Gladiator) once again teams up with Russell Crowe to give us a new look on a classic hero. The film features a fantastic cast compiled of Mark Strong (Sherlock Holmes), Cate Blanchett (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Max von Sydow (Minority Report), William Hurt (History of Violence), Kevin Durand (Lost), Scott Grimes (Band of Brothers), and Danny Huston (Edge of Darkness. Expect a realistic and action-packed take on a classic.

Letters to Juliet: Amanda Seyfried (Dear John) stars in another film that seems to be almost exactly like her last one where she wrote letters to her love, Channing Tatum. Vanessa Redgrave (Atonement) also stars in this romantic drama. Expect more of the same.

Just Wright: Queen Latifah (Chicago) and Common (Smokin’ Aces) star in the second romantic comedy to come out this weekend. The film is about an injured basketball player (Common) who is nursed back to health by his no-nonsense trainer (Latifah)…and I’m guessing they fall in love. Again, expect more of the same from a romantic comedy.
