Alec Baldwin to host season finale of “SNL”

30 Rock funnyman Alec Baldwin (Beetlejuice, The Departed) has been announced as the host for the season finale of Saturday Night Live. This will be Baldwin’s fifteenth time as host, tying him for the record with his Academy Award co-host and co-star of the recent hit film It’s Complicated, Steve Martin.

Baldwin has had a resurgence in his career since starring in the offbeat sitcom 30 Rock that airs on NBC, the same network that airs SNL. The series is celebrating it’s 35th season and will have Betty White (Golden Girls, It’s Complicated) host this coming weekend on May 8th.

Baldwin has appeared in numerous films over the past few decades that include Fun with Dick and Jane, The Cooler, and The Hunt for Red October.

Saturday Night Live airs on Saturdays at 11:30 PM on NBC.
