The teaser trailer for the latest James Bond film, Skyfall, has been unveiled today. Reprising his role as Bond is Daniel Craig for his third outing. The film will be released on November 9, 2012.

Synopsis:

Review:
The Avengers is exactly the type of movie we’ve been wanting for from Marvel. It is light, fun, and action-packed. This is probably the most fun you are going to have in the theaters all year, and the film has certainly raised the bar for Marvel movies; as well as any comic book film that isn’t Christopher Nolan’s Batman series.
We can absolutely thank writer/director Joss Whedon for giving us the Avengers film we’ve always wanted. His focus on every character in the film is vital to the story, and Whedon is so clearly familiar with each one to give us a satisfying and faithful adaptation of the team. Being that The Avengers is five years in the making, the audience has already been privy to each hero’s backstory, allowing Whedon to focus on the assembling of the team. I have to say that my favorite scenes in the film are the ones where the team is sitting around talking with each other. Having all of these big personalities in one room should have been the most difficult aspect of making the film, but Whedon somehow turns it to his advantage.
The new full length trailer has been revealed for Christopher Nolan’s finale to the Dark Knight Trilogy. I can’t wait…

Review:
This is by far the hardest film I’ve ever had to review. Honestly, I don’t even want to say anything about the opening scene of the film. This is one of those movies that is much better the less you know about it. I left important actors off of the cast list on my review because I feel it will spoil the film in some way. I don’t want to say anything about the film except for the fact that I had a total blast with it from beginning to end. Sure, there are a few bits I have a problem with, but that is for another conversation. If you have seen the film and would like to talk about it, feel free to send me an email.
Sure, you think you have seen the film before, but trust me you have never seen it like this. Drew Goddard and Joss Whedon have created the orgasm of horror films and certainly raise the bar for horror altogether. This is a film for film lovers, especially for fans of the horror genre. Do yourself a favor and go see this film. Don’t watch the trailers, don’t read about it online…just buy your tickets.
Rating: R for strong bloody horror violence and gore, language, drug use and some sexuality/nudity

Review:
I have to say that action is my favorite genre of movie, especially when it is done well. There are a scarce amount of action films that have gotten to the level of Die Hard or Terminator 2: Judgement Day. However, we have recently had a great string of luck with action flicks being better than usual. With films like The Dark Knight, Fast Five, The Bourne Ultimatum and nearly any film with Jason Statham (hey, I’m a fan), the action bar has been raised. Crazy as it seems, I honestly can say the bar has been raised to a new height with the simple addition of Gareth Evans’ film, The Raid: Redemption.
